Daylan Maurice Johnson grew up in Richmond with his three sisters, two brothers, and mother. His devotion to the Richmond community comes from having grown up in South, North and Central Richmond, and attending both Richmond and El Cerrito High.  He is now a senior and excited to be the first of his mother’s children to graduate from High School. As a part of the Community Engagement and Advocacy Team, Daylan hopes to see violence change in his streets. He would also like to see more community centers open for youth, so they have things to do. Daylan tears it up on the basketball courts during his free time, and loves hanging with his family as much as possible.
